Tour of London
Had a great weekend with Herman in London last week. On Saturday he brought me on a tour of London. We went to Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Downing Street(prime minister's office), Covent Garden, Chinatown, St.Paul's cathedral, Westminster Abbey(the Church)top, Big Ben(the clock) and some other places too. It was a great fun just walking in London. These are places that i have heard of since i was young. Some places like Leicester Square, i first heard about it while playing monopoly(winks at wei ling).. haha... So i really had so much fun just walking around. Thank God for the good weather, a nice sunny day. Central London was also swarming with people. Because it was such a nice day everybody was just taking a walk in the streets. We also went to Regent Street which is like the Orchard Road of London. Shopping shopping shopping everywhere. Im sure people like Kar mun and Joyce would absolutely love Regent Street. haha.... The pick of the day for me was actually at Covent Garden. It's quite a popular touristy place where you can enjoy some old buildings and a nice cup of coffee. The wonderful thing there was the Street Performances. People just put up a performance to entertain people who visit that place and they do not get paid. Performing on the streets is their livelihood and they survive on people's contribution after each show. I utterly enjoyed the performance. The great thing is that people here are also very sporting and responsive. They actually answer questions and support the performer. In all my experiences in MC-ing believe me, us Malaysians are just so hard get going even in Youth camps. Anyway, we Malaysians really have a thing or two to learn from the English especially in the area of politeness. Shame on us... haha... Thats it for now.. more to come when i get back to campus tomoro.. see ya... top:London eye
